Dreams do Come true!

In 5 days I will be going to see THE JUDDS!!! This will be the last time they will be touring together and I will have the privilege of being there. Sadly I had to choose someone to take with me. I say sadly not because of the "take" part but because of the "choose" part. I wish I could take so many people with me. But I didn't have the money for it. So I decided that when I think about my past and The Judds there is one person who comes to mind more than the others. . . my little sister Cassie. We are so excited!!! I have wanted this for so long and now I get to go see the group that shaped me so much in my love of music and singing. YAY!!! I will be sure to post about it. Woot woot!

Harlee is getting way to smart for her own good. . . or mine. Ha ha. She is just growing so fast. The story that I want to tell is short but I have to give you some back info. My sister Cassie, (who is arguably Harlee's favorite aunt) has been wearing Pajama shirts that have the collars cut out so they hang off her shoulder 80's style.
So we were at my mom's house the other day and I was getting Harlee ready for the day. She had on a black tank top with a cute plaid shirt over it. While I was doing her hair she pulled the top shirt off her shoulder and said " I want to wear it like this."
I proceeded to explain to her that we need to be modest and that means we don't show our shoulders like that. (Probably a mixed signal on my part considering I do let her wear tank tops sans over shirts in the summer.) As I pulled her shirt back up over her shoulder she looked at Cassie, sitting on the couch with her pajama shirt on, and says....
"But Cassie does it ALL THE TIME!"
Cassie and I looked at each other and laughed as Cassie pulled her shirt up over her shoulder.
Like I said, way too smart for her own good. I love my girl! Speaking of whom, she is calling now so I'm out. Have a good one people! :)

I'm still here... I think O.o

So much has been going on! Went to country jam, attended a family reunion (including a big dead tree in BFE, wave runners at the dam, Bear Lake, shooting guns, fishing, good food, spiders, Chinese auction, and awesome family!) , weddings, FREE WYNONNA CONCERT, free chiropractic exam, the beginning of my journey to being a smaller person, and our 6th anniversary!! It's been a busy summer already and it's not over. There are still a few more trips to bear lake planned, my sister is coming home from her mission in 3 weeks, Jeremy's birthday is in a few days, stuff for activity days, attempting to get the house clean after all the fun, and who knows what else. How is the summer going for all of you? I hope well! thought I'd do a quick catch up. Harlee is growing up so fast! I adore her! There you have it folks. I've posted now we'll see if anyone is still reading. If you are.... get a life! JUST KIDDING!!! Thanks so much for sticking around and checking in. God bless!

I'm terribly sorry about my last post! I have been in a rut as of late. However, today was wonderful! I got things accomplished that I wanted to , one of my besties, Michelle, is home and I have a lot of exciting things to look forward to in the coming days and weeks. And also, I just felt GOOD. No reason in particular, I just did. BRING ON SUMMER!!!

I would like to put a note in her to all my friends that get neglected by me... which is mainly everyone. It's not that I don't love you all... It's that I struggle with some serious anxiety, and a significant amount of depression. Because of this I tend to get withdrawn and distant, which is totally opposite from the girl most of you probably see face to face. This is something I am working on... I don't love it but it is part of who I am. And I love you all, even when I'm avoiding talking to you or hanging out.

Again I'm sorry for the last post!! I don't want there to be stigmas about these types of things but I also don't feel like I need to be all up in everyone's face with my downer business. So there you have it!!

I will be posting soon.

Debbie Downer. Neg Nancy. Spoil Sport am I.

The Name of my Blog is "No Day But Today" and sometimes that is how I feel... how I get through things, but it's not really how I live my life. I think about the future constantly... all the what ifs and could bes. I'm driven mad by the prospect of things. Torn always by the possible outcomes of my decisions. So maybe I'll have to change the name of my blog. For now, I'm just taking a break. Don't know when I'll be back. I'm trying to focus on real life for a while I guess, instead of this weird cyber world where I sometimes live and cope. Later!

A type of fest which begins with a word I'm not allowed to say....

Ok... I'm not perfect at anything... I'm usually not even great at anything... but there is one thing I AM good at. wanna know what it is? Knowing how to use the words TO, TOO, and TWO! I can't stand how many times I've seen "to" used in place of "too" the last little while and it is seriously driving me crazy! So I'm sorry if anyone thinks I'm being judgmental, or better-than-thou, or whatever but here is a little grammar lesson...

To: (used for expressing motion or direction toward a point, person, place, or thing approached and reached, as opposed to from): They came to the house.

-There were actually 27 definitions for this one but if you are confused look it up-

Two:
–noun

1.
a cardinal number, 1 plus 1.
2.
a symbol for this number, as 2 or II.
3.
a set of this many persons or things.
4.
a playing card, die face, or half of a domino face with two pips.
–adjective
5.
amounting to two in number.
6.
in two, into two separate parts, as halves: A bolt of lightning split the tree in two.

And last but certainly THE MOST IMPORTANT of my mean rant session...

TOO:

1.
in addition; also; furthermore; moreover: young, clever, and rich too.
2.
to an excessive extent or degree; beyond what is desirable, fitting, or right: too sick to travel.
3.
more, as specified, than should be: too near the fire.
4.
(used as an affirmative to contradict a negative statement): I am too!
5.
extremely; very: She wasn't too pleased with his behavior.

Ok, now everyone can hate me for being mean but at least I feel better. Phew!

Let's Celebrate!

Well, to celebrate my (insert number here)th birthday we met up with my mom and dad in Layton and had lunch at the Golden Corral. They gave me a very nice card and we had a lot of fun... even Harlee was pretty good that day. She was also very cute as you can see in the pictures. She has actually gotten to a point where she likes me to take her picture. Now, you might be wondering from Jeremy's expression if they serve alcohol at the Golden Corral. No, no they don't, he's just a dill weed. LOL He will rarely pose with me without making a face... it takes almost 10 shots to get him to be serious... this time I just gave up on the first try... not my problem if he looks like a drunkard. Silly guy. So after this we went to a couple more places, big lots to look at some furniture(which we ended up getting.. pictures to come... ) and then to Target. There Jeremy went off and bought me my Birthday gift. See this was actually the day before my birthday because Mom and dad had to be in Layton. so we had a good visit with mom and dad then headed home. OH!! Funny/sad side story... As we were all leaving Harlee was very upset, as usual, to say goodbye to my Mom. To comfort her my mom told her it would be OK and that as soon as we were driving Harlee could call her. That didn't help too much but we got her in the car seat and said goodbye. We had barely pulled out of the parking lot and onto the busy street when Harlee, through her tears, said, "Call Grandma.." . LOL So we called and when my mom got on with her she said "Grandma I cried!" my mom said some comforting words and Harlee said "OK." then gave me back the phone without even a goodbye. But she was OK after that. She is getting so big! Anyway.... more to come about my actual birthday... and furniture... and Harlee being so dang cute... (Note to self: caressing face, waking up in night.) There Now I won't forget what stories to tell. I'm off to bed for now. Gonna do a little reading and then get ready for a good day tomorrow. Hope all is well in your worlds my friends. Goodnight!

The long and winding road

The other day I picked up Jeremy from school and went driving into town. I told him I wasn't sure where we were going but he was OK with it so I just kept driving. I was thinking a quick trip out of town to pepperidge farm... but when I got there I just kept driving... and driving.... and driving. We ended up in Pocatello Idaho! What the??? We stopped and visited their little museum... it was actually pretty cool. Oh!!! In this little museum they have a section with a bunch of medical stuff through the years... I was looking at this one thing thinking it was some type of old fashioned inhaler or something then I read the paper that was curled up in it... (Warning: Explicit material ahead!) I can't remember the exact wording but it said it was for enlarging a penis in length and girth!!! WHAT?!?! I laughed so hard... and Jeremy just stared at the thing forever. I won't tell you what he said about it later. LOL It was clean... you know Jeremy... just funny... and true. I wondered who donated the thing... O.o

Anyway, then we drove through town, hated it, and turned around and came back. It' seems like a fast drive, but it was not. However it was a little adventure for Jeremy, Harlee and I, and I wish I had taken my camera along. Jeremy tried really hard to convince me to drive to Jackson Hole... I might have, had we had more money and didn't have guests coming the next day. But some day soon we are going to do a spontanious road trip to Jackson and I will have my camera and it will be awesome!!

There you have it. Michelle insisted I post about this... so there it is... I hope you all enjoyed.

To Michelle on her birthday

Today is my dear friend, Michelle's birthday. This means that on this day, x amount of years ago, a beautiful baby entered this world with no idea that one day she would change my life. I know we have an invisible thread that connects our lives to one another. I love her dearly and hope that she had a beautiful day. And I would like to thank her, because I didn't get the chance today, for all that she does for me as my friend. Michelle, you are wonderful and beautiful and amazing and today especially, I hope you know that!! Loves lady!

Heads up

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say sorry about all the collages but they are a nice way to catch up on blogging without adding hundreds of pics. Thanks for reading!

Shay

Big girl!

This is Harlee waiting for Aunt Cassie to pick her up to go spend a couple days with Grandma and Grandpa Wilcox. She was VERY excited. In fact, when Cassie brought her home she cried and cried because she wanted to go back. Those are sad mommy moments when your baby hasn't seen you for days and still doesn't want you. She is getting so grown up.

Baking With Aunt Cassie

I'm so thankful that Cassie bakes with Harlee because she obviously loves it and I don't bake often. What a silly girl!

EEEK!!!

The Date: January 30, 2010
The Time: Approximately 1:00 A.M.

You may ask yourselves what we were thinking... on the way home, we were too. It had been a very cold day and someone (possibly me) forgot to pull the car into the garage. As we went to run errands that afternoon the car would not start. It was very upsetting. We figured it was just from the cold and as soon as we could we should put some Heet in it. (Fuel additive for cold weather.) We went on with our day and evening. Got Harlee in bed and were up late watching movies. I happened to look out the window at one point and it was snowing pretty hard outside... then Harlee woke up. As I was trying to get Harlee back to bed Jeremy was saying how the car would never start now. Then I thought... but it gets just a bit warmer when it snows... and I told him as much. So he went outside to try and get the car started and into the garage. Then I thought... hey, Harlee is up not wanting to go back to bed... we need Heet in the car so it will start tomorrow for church... let's take a quick ride. It could be our little family snow adventure. The Maverik is MAYBE 5 minutes away by car so we piled in and set out. WOW!!! Already it was snowing so hare there were inched on the ground but we plugged along. We got to the Maverik and it was coming down HARD. We go in, get the Heet, get a drink, then we were out of there. In the time it took us to get in and out the car was covered. Jer had to wipe off the windows. A man standing outside, ( I think he was homeless or something and I felt bad but Jer was nervous about letting a stranger in the car with us late at night etc..) told us to be careful because he just watched someone spin out just pulling onto the road. We were very careful but the trip home was crazy! I could barley see the road... I was going like 10 mph. I had brought my camera to take pictures of our adventure and it turned out to be more than I had anticipated. We got home safe and sound but it took us a lot longer than usual and the driveway was almost impossible to get back in to. However... we did have an adventure... and it was spontaneous and fun and I love my little family!

Hardware Ranch

These are pictures of our adventure to Hardware ranch in January. I have been wanting to do this since I moved to Cache Valley 7 years ago and I was so excited when we made the plan. My parents came the night before and we were all having a lot of fun when I realized I felt funny... but a familiar funny... I was getting sick. I had a bit of a sore throat that day but as soon as I realized the aches it was all over. That night I had a horrible fever! My mom took Harlee who had decided she wanted to sleep with me that night and I was miserable all night long. As soon as Jeremy got home that morning I had him take me to the insta care where they said it must be strep even though the fast test came back negative. So they gave me meds and sent me home to rest. ( Side note... the medicine never helped me get better. After feeling horrible for days and my second cold sore in less than two weeks I came to my own conclusion that it was the cold sore virus attacking my system and throat... I hope it never happens again to test my hypothesis!) On with my story.... since I had been wanting to do this for so long, and the fact that I had a huge panic attack thinking about all my family going up the canyon without me and something horrible possibly happening to them, I decided to go regardless of my gross-O-ness. So I drugged myself up and off we went. It was well worth it. I kept fever reducers in me and felt OK the whole time. Good enough to have fun. And we learned so many cool things that I don't even have a slight remembrance of now. Then we went back to Aunt Debbie's and her and Doyle fixed us some Hershey's hot cocoa. It was so delicious. Especially since, by this time, I was starting to get the chills again and the day was catching up to me. Then we all disbanded, Everyone went home, and I slept. ( Take a close look at the picture of Cassie and I in the car together. Jeremy was being mischievous as always and I think Harlee makes an appearance in that one also. LOL)

Fancy Nancy...Our Muse

Posted by Picasa

As I said in the post before Michelle spoiled Harlee for her birthday with a bunch of "fancy" stuff inspired by the Fancy Nancy book that she also got for her. Harlee already had a "fancy" dress so we went all out. I even had some purple hair spray that I put in Harlee's hair to add to the effect. To get that girl to hold still for pictures is crazy... you'll notice her idea of posing for me was making this horrible screeching noise. HA HA HA!! She cracks me up. I will try and find a picture of "Fancy Nancy" to show you what we were going for. She liked it all for about 5 minutes then she was OUT of it. I have pictures of everything strewn about her and her hair just HILARIOUS!!! I hope you enjoy the pics Michelle!! I sure do! (P.S. Notice her little pinky toe poking out of her shoe. So Funny.)

Harlee's 2!!!

We had a pretty small get together this year for Harlee. Just family... well and Michelle and Cassie's Boyfriend Nolan. Harlee had a blast and was very spoiled. And when i say spoiled I mean the family spoiled her a little and Michelle went NUTS!!! She was inspired by this cute book called "Fancy Nancy". For those of you have never heard of her she is this adorable little girl with crazy curly hair who loves everything to be fancy. So Michelle got her... sunglasses, a purse, car keys, a cell phone, rings, bracelets, cloths, tiara, boa, necklaces... I know I'm missing something but it was insane, and Wonderful. What more could a Mommy ask for than a best friend who loves her daughter like that. Thanks AGAIN lady! Um... I'm not saying Harlee didn't like everything though... well accept the cloths. LOL As soon as she would open the gifts enough to see that they were cloths they were immediately set aside. She also got a pop up tent, candy, A cute Dora hat, a puzzle, a great color/shape thing from uncle Jake, and I don't think that is all but I can't remember the rest. Wow. I hope it doesn't go to her head. LOL I did forget the ice cream. Ha ha. Anyway, it really was a good day and I loved our family and friends with us. My little girls is growning up... FAST!

Christmas 2009

Here are some pictures from Christmas. It was really great this year! A little different with Tavia gone but we got to talk to her so that was exciting. Harlee loves her Cozy Coupe and she really loved her baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa Collier. Jerry said he had to turn on his 2 year old self, and I have to say it worked. I just love Christmas time!!

Beulah Croft

Posted by Picasa

On a more solemn note, On November 24th 2009 My Great Grandma Croft passed away. Just two months shy of her 90th birthday. There is so so much that I would love to say about her but don't know how really. She was such a beautiful, wonderful woman! She was so strong up until the very end. I was fortunate enough to spend some time in her home with her before she passed and say goodbye. One thing about My Grandma was that she always gave us kisses right on the lips. There was no getting out of it. She would take your head in both hands and lay a nice big one on ya. As many times as I tried to get out of it I was always glad I didn't, it meant she loved me. The last time I saw her I wasn't feeling very well. I went in to say goodbye and she wanted me to give her a kiss. I told her I didn't want to get her sick. She said "There is nothing you can give me now." But I told her I didn't want her to be uncomfortable or sick. She then told me to be a good wife and mother. Then as I held her hand and told her goodbye, she said "Right here, give me one right here." And tapped her cheek. So I bent down and have her a kiss on her soft cheek. It was a beautiful last memory for me. She passed just a few days later. A beautiful women indeed, even after death, and I will miss her for a long time. I am so thankful for the wonderful legacy she has given me and hope I will be able to make her proud in my life.

In Novermber I got a 120 Pro Pallet. I heard of it first from this great girl from Youtube who does makeup tutorials, Lauren Luke. I just love her videos! So I thought I would get one and have been having a blast with it ever since. I also got Jamie Lynn one for her Birthday and we have a good time sending pictures back and forth of our new fun ideas. To state the obvious I LOVE makeup. :)

October

Posted by Picasa

October was a fun month! For Halloween, Harlee was first an oriental princess. And then a giraffe. We enjoyed hanging out at the Talbot's for their Halloween party and trick or treating with Harlee in Logan, although she was not really getting it. Also, it was the month for birthdays. Went with mom and Cassie to Tepenyake(sp) and it was very fun. Saw an onion volcano just like on the food network. Ha ha!
That was about it for October I think.
