To Michelle on her birthday

Today is my dear friend, Michelle's birthday. This means that on this day, x amount of years ago, a beautiful baby entered this world with no idea that one day she would change my life. I know we have an invisible thread that connects our lives to one another. I love her dearly and hope that she had a beautiful day. And I would like to thank her, because I didn't get the chance today, for all that she does for me as my friend. Michelle, you are wonderful and beautiful and amazing and today especially, I hope you know that!! Loves lady!

Heads up

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say sorry about all the collages but they are a nice way to catch up on blogging without adding hundreds of pics. Thanks for reading!

Shay

Big girl!

This is Harlee waiting for Aunt Cassie to pick her up to go spend a couple days with Grandma and Grandpa Wilcox. She was VERY excited. In fact, when Cassie brought her home she cried and cried because she wanted to go back. Those are sad mommy moments when your baby hasn't seen you for days and still doesn't want you. She is getting so grown up.

Baking With Aunt Cassie

I'm so thankful that Cassie bakes with Harlee because she obviously loves it and I don't bake often. What a silly girl!

EEEK!!!

The Date: January 30, 2010
The Time: Approximately 1:00 A.M.

You may ask yourselves what we were thinking... on the way home, we were too. It had been a very cold day and someone (possibly me) forgot to pull the car into the garage. As we went to run errands that afternoon the car would not start. It was very upsetting. We figured it was just from the cold and as soon as we could we should put some Heet in it. (Fuel additive for cold weather.) We went on with our day and evening. Got Harlee in bed and were up late watching movies. I happened to look out the window at one point and it was snowing pretty hard outside... then Harlee woke up. As I was trying to get Harlee back to bed Jeremy was saying how the car would never start now. Then I thought... but it gets just a bit warmer when it snows... and I told him as much. So he went outside to try and get the car started and into the garage. Then I thought... hey, Harlee is up not wanting to go back to bed... we need Heet in the car so it will start tomorrow for church... let's take a quick ride. It could be our little family snow adventure. The Maverik is MAYBE 5 minutes away by car so we piled in and set out. WOW!!! Already it was snowing so hare there were inched on the ground but we plugged along. We got to the Maverik and it was coming down HARD. We go in, get the Heet, get a drink, then we were out of there. In the time it took us to get in and out the car was covered. Jer had to wipe off the windows. A man standing outside, ( I think he was homeless or something and I felt bad but Jer was nervous about letting a stranger in the car with us late at night etc..) told us to be careful because he just watched someone spin out just pulling onto the road. We were very careful but the trip home was crazy! I could barley see the road... I was going like 10 mph. I had brought my camera to take pictures of our adventure and it turned out to be more than I had anticipated. We got home safe and sound but it took us a lot longer than usual and the driveway was almost impossible to get back in to. However... we did have an adventure... and it was spontaneous and fun and I love my little family!

Hardware Ranch

These are pictures of our adventure to Hardware ranch in January. I have been wanting to do this since I moved to Cache Valley 7 years ago and I was so excited when we made the plan. My parents came the night before and we were all having a lot of fun when I realized I felt funny... but a familiar funny... I was getting sick. I had a bit of a sore throat that day but as soon as I realized the aches it was all over. That night I had a horrible fever! My mom took Harlee who had decided she wanted to sleep with me that night and I was miserable all night long. As soon as Jeremy got home that morning I had him take me to the insta care where they said it must be strep even though the fast test came back negative. So they gave me meds and sent me home to rest. ( Side note... the medicine never helped me get better. After feeling horrible for days and my second cold sore in less than two weeks I came to my own conclusion that it was the cold sore virus attacking my system and throat... I hope it never happens again to test my hypothesis!) On with my story.... since I had been wanting to do this for so long, and the fact that I had a huge panic attack thinking about all my family going up the canyon without me and something horrible possibly happening to them, I decided to go regardless of my gross-O-ness. So I drugged myself up and off we went. It was well worth it. I kept fever reducers in me and felt OK the whole time. Good enough to have fun. And we learned so many cool things that I don't even have a slight remembrance of now. Then we went back to Aunt Debbie's and her and Doyle fixed us some Hershey's hot cocoa. It was so delicious. Especially since, by this time, I was starting to get the chills again and the day was catching up to me. Then we all disbanded, Everyone went home, and I slept. ( Take a close look at the picture of Cassie and I in the car together. Jeremy was being mischievous as always and I think Harlee makes an appearance in that one also. LOL)

Fancy Nancy...Our Muse

Posted by Picasa

As I said in the post before Michelle spoiled Harlee for her birthday with a bunch of "fancy" stuff inspired by the Fancy Nancy book that she also got for her. Harlee already had a "fancy" dress so we went all out. I even had some purple hair spray that I put in Harlee's hair to add to the effect. To get that girl to hold still for pictures is crazy... you'll notice her idea of posing for me was making this horrible screeching noise. HA HA HA!! She cracks me up. I will try and find a picture of "Fancy Nancy" to show you what we were going for. She liked it all for about 5 minutes then she was OUT of it. I have pictures of everything strewn about her and her hair just HILARIOUS!!! I hope you enjoy the pics Michelle!! I sure do! (P.S. Notice her little pinky toe poking out of her shoe. So Funny.)

Harlee's 2!!!

We had a pretty small get together this year for Harlee. Just family... well and Michelle and Cassie's Boyfriend Nolan. Harlee had a blast and was very spoiled. And when i say spoiled I mean the family spoiled her a little and Michelle went NUTS!!! She was inspired by this cute book called "Fancy Nancy". For those of you have never heard of her she is this adorable little girl with crazy curly hair who loves everything to be fancy. So Michelle got her... sunglasses, a purse, car keys, a cell phone, rings, bracelets, cloths, tiara, boa, necklaces... I know I'm missing something but it was insane, and Wonderful. What more could a Mommy ask for than a best friend who loves her daughter like that. Thanks AGAIN lady! Um... I'm not saying Harlee didn't like everything though... well accept the cloths. LOL As soon as she would open the gifts enough to see that they were cloths they were immediately set aside. She also got a pop up tent, candy, A cute Dora hat, a puzzle, a great color/shape thing from uncle Jake, and I don't think that is all but I can't remember the rest. Wow. I hope it doesn't go to her head. LOL I did forget the ice cream. Ha ha. Anyway, it really was a good day and I loved our family and friends with us. My little girls is growning up... FAST!

Christmas 2009

Here are some pictures from Christmas. It was really great this year! A little different with Tavia gone but we got to talk to her so that was exciting. Harlee loves her Cozy Coupe and she really loved her baby doll from Grandma and Grandpa Collier. Jerry said he had to turn on his 2 year old self, and I have to say it worked. I just love Christmas time!!
