EEEK!!!
The Date: January 30, 2010
The Time: Approximately 1:00 A.M.
You may ask yourselves what we were thinking... on the way home, we were too. It had been a very cold day and someone (possibly me) forgot to pull the car into the garage. As we went to run errands that afternoon the car would not start. It was very upsetting. We figured it was just from the cold and as soon as we could we should put some Heet in it. (Fuel additive for cold weather.) We went on with our day and evening. Got Harlee in bed and were up late watching movies. I happened to look out the window at one point and it was snowing pretty hard outside... then Harlee woke up. As I was trying to get Harlee back to bed Jeremy was saying how the car would never start now. Then I thought... but it gets just a bit warmer when it snows... and I told him as much. So he went outside to try and get the car started and into the garage. Then I thought... hey, Harlee is up not wanting to go back to bed... we need Heet in the car so it will start tomorrow for church... let's take a quick ride. It could be our little family snow adventure. The Maverik is MAYBE 5 minutes away by car so we piled in and set out. WOW!!! Already it was snowing so hare there were inched on the ground but we plugged along. We got to the Maverik and it was coming down HARD. We go in, get the Heet, get a drink, then we were out of there. In the time it took us to get in and out the car was covered. Jer had to wipe off the windows. A man standing outside, ( I think he was homeless or something and I felt bad but Jer was nervous about letting a stranger in the car with us late at night etc..) told us to be careful because he just watched someone spin out just pulling onto the road. We were very careful but the trip home was crazy! I could barley see the road... I was going like 10 mph. I had brought my camera to take pictures of our adventure and it turned out to be more than I had anticipated. We got home safe and sound but it took us a lot longer than usual and the driveway was almost impossible to get back in to. However... we did have an adventure... and it was spontaneous and fun and I love my little family!
