I have a very patriotic spirit. I believe that is because it is so intertwined with my faith. This country is a special gift to us from God and I am continually thankful for the blessing of living in the United States of America. On this day of remembrance I just want to be one of the many who thank the people who serve our country and defend our freedom! GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!

May I just add my "amen" to your blog. I truly feel that our country is a gift...one that must be defended, protected, and held in high regard. Shame on us for forgetting that all year long...we should have the feeling for our country every day- that we feel today.
