Oh my gosh. I have been so lazy with the blogging thing. Sorry to all two of you who read it! Things are great in the Collier house. I do have a lot of catching up to do but we are going to party hardy at the Streator's tonight so I will catch you all up next year. HA! I always love saying that this time of year. I'm a corn dog!! Anyway, hope the holidays have been great for everyone! Later.

I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours
My friend Rebecca made a comment on my last post that had me re-reading what I wrote. It was late. But I wanted to make it clear that when I said I'd rather live out the rest of my days oblivious if Dave or Wynonna retired I meant that I would maybe die if I found that out. LOL Was that a run on sentence? Ha ha. Anyway, it did kind of sound like I don't care for them, but the contrary is true. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!! Tell me, who are your favorites???
Note to Michelle: Love you to death but please remember some people don't have ALL day to read your favorites. ;) Mwah!

Melancholy

Tonight was the CMA awards show, one of my favorite yearly events! It was all so good, except the part of the evening when they dropped the bomb on me about Brooks & Dunn retiring. WHAT!?!?! Excuse me but how did I not know about this? And excuse me Mr. Brooks and Mr. Dunn, but how could you do this to me?!?! Jeremy had a good laugh while I sat crying, watching their LAST performance! OK, I know At this point you are thinking how ridiculous I am, but apparently you don't know about my insane love for amazing singers/bands/music in general. I CANNOT wrap my brain around the idea that they are done making music. It's like a little part of the world just ended. What will it be like without any more Brooks & Dunn songs that never fail to deliver? I am in a sorrowful mood. My dear friend, Michelle, told me that when she comes home we can have a Brooks & Dunn Tribute night. Thank you Michelle. I think you know how much that means to me. ♥
So I suppose that is all of my boo hooing for tonight, BUT next time one of my favorite singers/songwriters/bands/awesome music people decides to call it quites could someone please give me a heads up. Unless it's like... Dave Mathews or Wynonna or someone like that. In which case it may be better just to let me live out the rest of my days oblivious. I think I will go listen to some Brooks & Dunn now and cry myself to sleep. *sad face+tear* Thank you all and goodnight. melencholy

Who needs comedy central
The other day Harlee and I were looking at all different kinds of animals on the computer. We saw giraffes, hippopotamus's, Koala Bears, Panda Bears, Black bears, kittens, dogs, kangaroos, rhinos, lions, dolphins, killer whales, and the list goes on. We were having a lot of fun learning all about these cool animals. Then we came to one that she knew for sure. I asked her, "Harlee, What are these?" She responded......
"Chicken Nuggets!"

The other day I let a man and his friend cross in from of my car in the parking lot. He looked up at me, flashed me a nice big smile, then WINKED and me. I totally blushed! It was so cute and it just made my day. I don't get many people winking at me these days. So thank you sir!
Today, after my family left, Cheli helped me tie my quilt. She is SPEEDY! We got it done before Jeremy and Harlee got up from their nap so Cheli and I took a fun trip into town. I got some eyeshadow, Cheli got some books and we had a blast doing it all. Thanks Cheli for always being so wonderful and putting up with me. ;) And thank you aunt Debbie for letting me use your quilting frame.
Tonight after I got home and Halee was asleep my neighbor, Katie, texted me and wanted to know if I would like to run with her to get a frosty from Wendy's. It was just a short little trip but I really enjoyed running away with her for a little bit. She is a great neighbor and a wonderful friend. We decided to try and make it our Saturday night thing. It's the only time our husbands are home to keep an eye on our kids. So that will be great fun.
Well, I think that is all. Jeremy was so good to watch Harlee today while I did my thing and I love him very much for all his help and support. Now it is time for rest so we won't fall asleep watching conference tomorrow. LOL
